To celebrate Peyton's graduation from Kindergarten we had a little party of sorts at our house last Friday night. P's friends Evan, Parker, and Emery were invited to the festivities, all of whom just had graduations of their own. These girls are all about some fun! They are very sweet together and play really well with each other.
Our friends, who just happen to be the parents of the aforementioned girlies, and Nick and ML were present and accounted for as well. We grilled out, stuffed our faces, played some Wii, and all in all had a blast. Gotta love fun times and good friends... You know who you are... thanks for sharing in our lives!

Goodbye Kindergarten... Hello First Grade!
Well, we no longer have a kindergartener in our house... we are officially on our way to first grade! What a year... and how quickly the time has gone. (I feel like such an old person when I say that, but it is so true!)
So many milestones for this soon to be first grader this year but the highlight for us was in January...
On January 22, 2008 to quote P, "I asked my Heavenly Father into my heart" What a pleasure that was for Ryan and me to see her choose to believe in and follow the God that we know and love and strive to teach her about daily. She prayed and asked Jesus into her heart by herself at nap time and came out to share her decision with us. Whatever it takes to keep from taking a nap, right? We have watched her little personality and have seen her truly begin to try to make choices in light of being "God's little princess". She has such a sweet spirit about her and a true desire to learn when it comes to Jesus and what He asks of us as His followers.
P--may you always seek to love, honor, and serve our Savior. Seek after Him like the air that you breathe. I pray that your Dad and I will always teach you the love and complete acceptance of Christ as well as His love and desire for those who do not know Him. We are so proud of you! And we have "No greater joy than to know that our children are walking in truth." III Jn 1:4
This is Peyton on her first day of school in August...
And this is her leaving for her last day of kindergarten last week...

BIG SHOUT OUT...
Today, someone in our house turns 30 and it is not Marty, Peyton, or Mason. . .so you do the math. This someone got their birthday gift and birthday cake last night and they were just a little excited...
So as you can see, a new Wii and a ice cream cake from Ritters can make a 30 year old pretty happy!
Ryan, I mean, to whoever it is that is turning 30 today--We love you! Happy Birthday! Can't wait to whip up on you in some Wii Sports! Bring it!

Props to Jackie Kate
This weekend we made the trek to Johnson City, TN to see our oldest niece, Jackie Kate graduate from high school. Fun times getting to see the fam, and to watch J walk across the stage and get her diploma... and she did it without even tripping. She'll be headin' off to college in the fall, and she'll be tearin' some people up in some soccer!
J--we are so proud of you! We are so excited to see what God is going to do in your life. Trust Him, and run hard after Him. We love you!
