Lovin' hearing my kids talk to Jesus

Scene: Tonight before eating our dinner.

P:
"Our Dear Heavenly Father,
I want to thank you so much for this day.
I want to ask you to please hear this blessing that I am about to ask you for.
We want to thank you Jesus,
Thank you for this season.
Help us to make it very very merry for you.

(insert P snapping her fingers and shaking her head at her brother, who happened to have his eyes open)

Bless us Father, because we love you.
And we want to do what is right.
Because you died for us.
You didn't have to do that Jesus, but you chose to...

(insert Mom saying, "and bless this food to our bodies")

And bless this food to our bodies,
In Jesus name, Amen."

Gotta love a 7 year old going before the throne of Jesus!

Celebrating Peyton

On November 12, 2001 this crazy, fun-loving, full of life, little girl was born.

We celebrated P's birthday this year with her first party for girls her own age. She invited some of her friends from school, church, and soccer. Ryan was such a good sport and coordinated the games and entertainment. One of which was pin the tail on the donkey...can I just say, hysterical! The girls seemed to have a great time together, and we enjoyed having them here to celebrate with us. After the party Ryan, again, Dad of the Year, piled the girls in the mini and took them to see Madagascar II. Again, some little girls were lovin' life!

P, we are so grateful to our Lord for giving you to us. You are one of the greatest blessings of our life! We are honored to be your parents and to celebrate with you another year of your life! Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Trick or...Incredible?

Halloween fell on Friday this year, which was great! We had the privilege of trick-or-treating with a couple of members of the Incredible family. Here are a few pics of Violet and Dash.

Here is Dash getting on his game face for trick-or-treating...

Neither Violet nor Dash were all too fond of their eye wear.

We went on pursuit of free candy this year with our good friends the Hales. We had a great time and everyone had more candy than any person should be allowed to have in one night!

Brush Teef

What should one do if one needs to brush one's "teef" and can't reach the "toof brush"?

Well, enlist the help of one's faithful and trusty giraffe, Raffy, of course. Just FYI.

Please disregard the fact that Raffy has the shortest neck possible for a giraffe. Concentrate on the cuteness of the kid here people.

God Have Mercy On Us

My heart is hurting today. I feel sick inside. Barack Obama....a man that is in the running for the position of the most powerful man in the free world. Now, needless to say, I do not agree with this man on virtually ANY of his political policies or positions, but people, this is SO much bigger than politics! The sanctity of human life, a life that begins at conception, in my opinion, trumps it all.
Here are some key point of Obama's position on abortion and stem cell research. I took portions of this from an article written by Robert P. George, Professor at Princeton University. I know it is lengthy, but read, be informed.

Barack Obama supports legislation that would repeal the Hyde Amendment, which protects pro-life citizens from having to pay for abortions that are not necessary to save the life of the mother and are not the result of rape or incest. Obama has promised to reverse the situation so that abortions that the industry complains are not happening (because the federal government is not subsidizing them) would happen. He supports legislation that would repeal the Hyde Amendment, which protects pro-life citizens from having to pay for abortions that are not necessary to save the life of the mother and are not the result of rape or incest.

He has promised that "the first thing I'd do as President is sign the Freedom of Choice Act" (known as FOCA). This proposed legislation would create a federally guaranteed "fundamental right" to abortion through all nine months of pregnancy, including, as Cardinal Justin Rigali of Philadelphia has noted in a statement condemning the proposed Act, "a right to abort a fully developed child in the final weeks for undefined 'health' reasons." In essence, FOCA would abolish virtually every existing state and federal limitation on abortion, including parental consent and notification laws for minors, state and federal funding restrictions on abortion, and conscience protections for pro-life citizens working in the health-care industry-protections against being forced to participate in the practice of abortion or else lose their jobs. The pro-abortion National Organization for Women has proclaimed with approval that FOCA would "sweep away hundreds of anti-abortion laws [and] policies."

Obama, unlike even many "pro-choice" legislators, opposed the ban on partial-birth abortions when he served in the Illinois legislature and condemned the Supreme Court decision that upheld legislation banning this heinous practice. He has referred to a baby conceived inadvertently by a young woman as a "punishment" that she should not endure. He has stated that women's equality requires access to abortion on demand. Appallingly, he wishes to strip federal funding from pro-life crisis pregnancy centers that provide alternatives to abortion for pregnant women in need. There is certainly nothing "pro-choice" about that.

In an act of breathtaking injustice which the Obama campaign lied about until critics produced documentary proof of what he had done, as an Illinois state senator Obama opposed legislation to protect children who are born alive, either as a result of an abortionist's unsuccessful effort to kill them in the womb, or by the deliberate delivery of the baby prior to viability. This legislation would not have banned any abortions. Indeed, it included a specific provision ensuring that it did not affect abortion laws. (This is one of the points Obama and his campaign lied about until they were caught.) The federal version of the bill passed unanimously in the United States Senate, winning the support of such ardent advocates of legal abortion as John Kerry and Barbara Boxer. But Barack Obama opposed it and worked to defeat it. For him, a child marked for abortion gets no protection-even ordinary medical or comfort care-even if she is born alive and entirely separated from her mother. So Obama has favored protecting what is literally a form of infanticide.

For several years, Americans have been debating the use for biomedical research of embryos produced by in vitro fertilization (originally for reproductive purposes) but now left in a frozen condition in cryopreservation units. President Bush has restricted the use of federal funds for stem-cell research of the type that makes use of these embryos and destroys them in the process. I support the President's restriction, but some legislators with excellent pro-life records, including John McCain, argue that the use of federal money should be permitted where the embryos are going to be discarded or die anyway as the result of the parents' decision. Senator Obama, too, wants to lift the restriction.

But Obama would not stop there. He has co-sponsored a bill-strongly opposed by McCain-that would authorize the large-scale industrial production of human embryos for use in biomedical research in which they would be killed. In fact, the bill Obama co-sponsored would effectively require the killing of human beings in the embryonic stage that were produced by cloning. It would make it a federal crime for a woman to save an embryo by agreeing to have the tiny developing human being implanted in her womb so that he or she could be brought to term. This "clone and kill" bill would, if enacted, bring something to America that has heretofore existed only in China-the equivalent of legally mandated abortion. In an audacious act of deceit, Obama and his co-sponsors misleadingly call this an anti-cloning bill. But it is nothing of the kind. What it bans is not cloning, but allowing the embryonic children produced by cloning to survive

Barack Obama’s America is not only one where human beings have no rights until infancy - and if they are unwanted survivors of attempted abortions, not even then. Barack Obama has said "If a [girl] makes a mistake, I do not believe they should have to be punished with a baby."

BTW, that pic is of Mason when, according to BO, he was not a human being and had no rights.

I CANNOT even wrap my mind around that. Now, I know, for all of you tens of readers out there who actually tune in to our blog, I am totally "preaching to the choir." This has just been weighing on my heart and mind now for several days, and wanted to share, inform, rant, etc. As Christ followers, I believe that we must rise up! It is our duty and our calling.

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." (Psalm 139:13-16).

Father God, have mercy on us. We are a fallen people. You are good and You are sovereign. We come before you on behalf of our country and on behalf of these unborn children. We are seeking Your face and asking that you will heal us and heal our land.

Happy Fall Ya'll

Gotta love the Fall in Tennessee! It is one of the best times of the year...the leaves are changing, the humidity is gone, the bugs have given up, and you just want to be outside. Well, in honor of all of the above, we took the kidlets on a little outing to our local Pumpkin Patch. This is not yo momma's pumpkin patch! Tons to do and see and P and M had a blast!

It's Official...

Terrible 2's, here we come! Ol' Maser turns two today, and I have to say, I just cannot believe it. It seems like just yesterday we were driving to Baptist Hospital in the "puff-n-chug" at 5:00 am with no defrost, wiping off the windshield with napkins, going to have this little guy, and now he is an official two year old! Geez, where does the time go?

We had his party on Saturday at a local park with some of our best pals. What a blast he had! It was a hot September day, but that didn't seem to make any difference to him! He was lovin' life! Since he is currently into all things cars, trucks, and pretty much anything with wheels on it, we decided to have a CARS or as Mason says, a "froom froom" party.

Here are some pics from all the festivities...Enjoy! BTW, we will post some footage of him playing with his new "froom froom's" soon.

Mason--We prayed for you, little boy, before you were ever given to us. Your Dad and I always dreamed of getting to have a little boy, and you are proof that God is good and gives us exactly what we need. Our prayer for you is that you will be a mighty warrior for God. Love Jesus son, with all of your heart, and run hard after Him! Happy Birthday sweet boy! We love you!
